Elsie's Christmas dress -- and a little bow for her hair -- is all done!
The dress is lined, and there is a layer of white netting with black lace trim between the skirt and lining. There are lined netting caps in the sleeves.
This afternoon I got a package of Babyville Boutique plastic snaps and a pair of Babyville Boutique snap pliers. It's been so long since I applied snaps to baby clothes, I didn't even know they made such things.
This evening I finished the baby outfits (pajama bottoms, onesie, bonnet, and booties) for Keira, Carolyn, and Violet. The matching blanket, lined with white thermal knit, is under them.
Today I made a baby blanket and started one of three matching outfits I cut out yesterday. A onesie and the pajama bottoms are done except for snaps on the top, and there are matching bonnet and booties, too. This is the size 3 months, for Baby Violet. I have a 24 months cut for little Carolyn, and 6 months for Baby Keira. The blanket is 47" x 67", a good-sized crib blanket. The fabric is a soft, thin knit, and I lined it with white thermal knit.
I was cutting up double knits in preparation for making rag-shag rugs, when I came upon a couple of pieces of fabric that I couldn't stand to chop to bits... so I made skirts.
